Privacy Policy
The short version: We collect only what we need to run the app. We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers. You can request full deletion at any time.
1. Who We Are
FlowEdge is an execution and journaling tool for discretionary futures traders. The service is operated at flowedgeapp.com. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at office@flowedgeapp.com.
2. What We Collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service. This includes:
- Account data — your email address and, if you sign in via Google, your name and profile photo as provided by Google OAuth. We do not store your Google password.
- Trading data you create — setup logs, trade entries, journal notes, bias/structure/entry reads, AI summaries, and report data. This data belongs to you.
- Waitlist data — if you join the waitlist before signing up, we store your email address, your selected trader archetype (optional), and metadata about how you arrived (page URL, referrer). We use this only to notify you of access.
- Usage data — anonymous event tracking (e.g. which sections of the app you use, button clicks) to help us improve the product. No personally identifiable information is attached to these events unless you are signed in.
- Technical data — your browser type, device type, and IP address, collected automatically via Firebase. We do not sell or profile this data.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to:
- Provide and maintain the FlowEdge application and its features
- Authenticate your account and keep your data secure
- Generate AI-powered trade summaries and coaching insights within the app
- Send you product updates, early access notifications, or critical service emails — only if you have opted in or signed up
- Improve the product through aggregated, anonymised usage analysis
We do not use your data to train AI models, sell advertising, or share with third-party marketers.
4. AI Features and Your Data
FlowEdge uses AI to generate pre-trade summaries and post-session coaching. Your structured trade inputs (bias, structure, and entry reads) are sent to an AI processing service to generate these outputs. The AI does not store your trade data beyond the scope of a single request. AI-generated content is produced in response to your inputs and is not shared with other users.
FlowEdge AI does not predict markets. All outputs are interpretations of your own structured inputs, not financial advice.
5. Data Storage and Infrastructure
FlowEdge is built on Google Firebase. Your data is stored in:
- Firebase Authentication — manages sign-in credentials
- Cloud Firestore — stores your trade data, setup logs, and journal entries
- Firebase Hosting — serves the application
Data is stored in Google Cloud infrastructure. Firebase data is subject to Google's privacy practices. We apply Firestore security rules so that only authenticated users can read or write their own data.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only in the following limited cases:
- Service providers — Google Firebase (infrastructure), and the AI processing service used for trade summaries. These providers process data only on our behalf and are bound by appropriate data processing agreements.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of FlowEdge or its users.
- Business transfer — in the unlikely event of a merger or acquisition, your data would be transferred with appropriate notice and continued protections.
7. Data Retention
We keep your account and trading data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete all personally identifiable data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Waitlist email addresses are removed within 30 days of a deletion request, or automatically when FlowEdge moves out of the waitlist phase and all users have been contacted.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights including:
- The right to access the personal data we hold about you
- The right to correct inaccurate data
- The right to request deletion of your data
- The right to data portability (export your trade data as CSV)
- The right to object to or restrict certain processing
To exercise any of these rights, email office@flowedgeapp.com. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Cookies and Tracking
FlowEdge uses minimal cookies — only those required for authentication (keeping you signed in). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. If we add analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy and provide an opt-out mechanism.
10. Children's Privacy
FlowEdge is intended for adults who trade futures markets. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users by email or in-app notice. Continued use of FlowEdge after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
